Autonomous Education Project
Revolutionary organisers from the Black Panthers to the Zapatistas have long recognised collective self-education as a vital tool in their struggles for liberation. But it’s hard to know where to start, and you need people to do it with - our answer is the Autonomous Education Project!
This is a bi-weekly session aimed at collective learning, mutual upskilling, idea generation, and relationship building for organisers in Sheffield (and anyone else who’s interested!). It’s every second Wednesday from 6-8pm, with a shared meal for the first half hour. No previous knowledge needed, just come along and meet people if you want!
Read more about it here or check our Instagram to see when the next one is going to be.
Working Groups
Cooperation Sheffield operates through a system of self-organising working groups, who feedback to each other and bring forward proposals into our biweekly meeting.
Click on the button below to view our list of current working groups. Get in contact and get involved! We’re always looking for more help, and we’re all learning as we go, so don’t be worried if you haven't done anything like this before.
events
We have a biweekly meeting at the Union Street coworking space which you can always come along to to get to know us and get stuck in. We also run assemblies, and other events such as movie screenings, facilitation training and more. For what’s coming up, see below!
Mailing List
Sign up to our mailing list! We’ll contact you (occasionally) letting you know about our assemblies, events and how you can get involved in our movement.
